Do you really know Arnaud Romer, Sports Lecturer at SKEMA Business School? Let’s check it out!

If you were an Olympic sport: I would be the Judo for its values and all the medals that France won and is going to win. I hope especially that Teddy Riner will win one more gold medal!

The music that helps you concentrate best: Classic music, especially J.-S. Bach “Orchestral Suite No. 2: Badinerie”. And also peace and tranquillity to earth.

The book you’d recommend for developing soft skills: Harvard Business Review on Communication. Because I think that communication is the first key to develop other soft skills.

Your favourite sport: Football, but I like all sport, and especially collective sports.

The book you read on the beach: Any book about football and tactics or coaching.

The victory or the match that marked you the most this year: Le Havre Versus Dijon, last match of Ligue 2. Because a good friend is coaching Le Havre. They won 1-0 and the championship. It changed his life and the life of a lot of people. I was at the stadium with the families and players sharing their joy.

The other job you would have liked to do: Physiotherapist with professional sport players.

The Olympic Games sport you’ll be attending or watching: I am going to watch fencing to see if Romain Cannone, our former student from SKEMA, is going to win a new gold medal!

The athlete you’d like to have dinner with: Novak Djokovic to speak about his training methods and strategies.

The country where you dream to work: Brazil since I am young, because of their culture, the weather, their football players, the atmosphere, the people.

Your favourite fictional character: Pico Bogue because he embodies values that I appreciate: sincerity and spontaneity.

What you like best about Skema: All the interesting people that I can meet, students and staff from all over the world.

The expression or quotation you find most inspiring to regain motivation and resilience: “Nothing resists the training”, “If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you”.
