I am an Associate Professor at SKEMA Business School and an Honorary Lecturer at The University of Manchester (UK). I obtained my PhD in Science and Technology Studies (STS) in 2014 from the University of Salamanca in Spain, where I did a thesis on the social impacts of technological innovation, with a focus on the case of biofuels. Before joining SKEMA, I worked for a decade in the UK, first at the Centre for Applied Bioethics at the University of Nottingham (2013-2016) and then at the Manchester Institute of Innovation Research at the Alliance Manchester Business School, The University of Manchester (2016-2022). My research broadly investigates the sociological aspects of science, technology and innovation, including the emergence and practice of responsible innovation. My work has drawn on the analysis of fields such as biotechnology, synthetic biology and, more recently, digital technologies and artificial intelligence. I have also an interest in the intersection between technology, politics and democracies and have done research looking at the cases of public health emergencies related to Zika and Covid in Brazil. My research has been published in top journals in the field of innovation management, medical sociology and STS, such as Research Policy, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Social Science and Medicine and Science as Culture. I currently teach three MSc modules at SKEMA (Research Methods, Responsible Innovation and AI and Society) and one module for PGE L3 (AI, Society and Sustainability).

Je suis professeure associée à SKEMA Business School et conférencière honoraire à l’Université de Manchester (Royaume-Uni). J’ai obtenu mon doctorat en études sociales des sciences et des technologies (STS) en 2014 à l’Université de Salamanque en Espagne, où j’ai fait une thèse sur les impacts sociaux de l’innovation technologique, avec un focus sur le cas des biocarburants. Avant de rejoindre SKEMA, j’ai travaillé pendant une dizaine d’années au Royaume-Uni, d’abord au Centre for Applied Bioethics de l’Université de Nottingham (2013-2016) puis au Manchester Institute of Innovation Research de l’Alliance Manchester Business School, The University of Manchester (2016-2022). Mes recherches portent sur les aspects sociologiques de la science, de la technologie et de l’innovation, y compris l’émergence et la pratique de l’innovation responsable. Mes travaux ont puisé dans l’analyse de domaines tels que la biotechnologie, la biologie de synthèse et, plus récemment, les technologies numériques et l’intelligence artificielle. Je m’intéresse également à l’intersection entre la technologie, la politique et les démocraties et j’ai effectué des recherches sur les cas d’urgences de santé publique liées au Zika et au Covid au Brésil. Mes recherches ont été publiées dans des revues internacionales dans le domaine de la gestion de l’innovation, de la sociologie médicale et des STS, telles que Research Policy, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Social Science and Medicine et Science as Culture. J’enseigne actuellement trois modules MSc à SKEMA (Méthodes de Recherche, Innovation Responsable et IA et Société) et un module pour le PGE L3 (IA, Société et Développement Durable).
